Welcome to America 2.0
The American collapse was avoidable, but we failed to meet the moment. Now, we need to preserve our democratic values in a rapidly changing world. America 2.0 is all about what comes next. Join us.
I'll be brief: the world is changing quickly. For the last eight years, I've been trying to warn people about what I and other analysts saw on the horizon. We believed that if we sounded the alarm, contacted the right people, created content, and leveraged all of our connections, we might be able to stop this freight train. We were wrong.
We did this work because we love our country. But that country is changing dramatically, and may be gone. What's clear is that something different is coming. We have a good idea why this is happening, who's driving it, and what the future may look like.
Media is changing dramatically also. Corporate media missed the boat. A cohort of dedicated writers and analysts who got it right have had to bob and weave to get the word out. Twitter has been captured by the adversary. Facebook, too. Substack's main investor is also hostile, as is Bluesky's primary investor.
The America 2.0 project is rooted in open source technology and self-hosted. It cannot be captured. It is owned by technologist and investigative journalist David Troy, and will feature his writing and the work of trusted colleagues.
We're done with waiting for others to catch on. We can no longer try to hold back the tide.
Now, we tell it like it is. Those who get it can come along. This is a new movement, one that is centered on preserving America's democratic values in the 21st century and beyond. Join us.
